Director Job Opportunity In Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited
Director (Project & Planning)/01 Post
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Desirable Qualification: MBA or Master’s Degree in relevant field.
Experience: Essential Experience (Govt/Non-Govt): Experience in railway/metro construction or construction in large infrastructure projects of the Government or PSEs.
Desirable Experience: 25 years in Group ‘A’ Service in Central Government / Central PSEs /Metro Rail Corporations, out of which 5 years in SAG or equivalent grade
Minimum and Maximum Age at the time of appointment: 45 years minimum and 57 years maximum.
Retirement Age: 60 years; extendable by maximum 2 years at discretion of the Board.
Remuneration: Rs.3.00 lakhs (Three lakhs) per month (i.e.Rs.2.75 lakhs pay and Rs.25,000 HRA) + other allowances.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Desirable Qualification: MBA or Master’s Degree in relevant field.
Experience Essential Experience (Govt. / Non-Govt.): Experience in rolling stock or railway/metro electrification or signaling and telecommunication of railway/metro projects.
Desirable Experience: 25 years in Group ‘A’ Service in Central Government / Central PSEs /Metro Rail Corporations, out of which 5 years in SAG or equivalent grade.

Several MRTS proposals for Bangalore have been in the pipeline for nearly 24 years. In 1982, a study suggested that the MRTS should have a route length of 12.20 km. and pegged the cost at Rs. 239.15 crores. In 1983, the Metropolitan Transit Project, an organization of Indian Railways, prepared a feasibility report for provision of suburban rail services on existing lines, a circular railway of 57.9 km. metro system on two corridors, in Phase-I 12.9 km. from Rajajinagar to Jayanagar and in Phase - II 11.2 km. from Hudson Circle to Krishnarajapuram. In 1988, a World Bank aided study was carried out by RITES and the study recommended a Commuter Rail System along with improvement of road transport system.
