Qualification :Must have completed Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) from Institutes approved by D.G. Shipping.
02. Trainee Marine Engineer (on contract basis) /10 (UR-5,EWS-1, OBC-3,SC-1)
Qualification: Should have completed 4 years Degree in Marine Engineering from any IMU affiliated colleges/ Institutes approved by DG Shipping.
03. Trainee Electrical Officer (on contract basis) / 10 [UR- 4 ,OBC-3 ,SC-1 , ST-2)
Qualification :Should have completed 4 years Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication/Communication Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation recognized by any State or Central Government or AICTE and must have completed 4 months Electro Technical Officer course from DG Shipping Approved Institutes.
Age Not more than 30 years as on 31.07.2019 (relaxable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC as per Government of India Guidelines).
04. NCV(Trainees) (GP Rating) (on contract basis) /10 (UR-4 , EWS-1,OBC-2,SC-2, ST-1)
Stipend: During the training period Dredge Cadets will be paid stipend of Rs.15000/- per month, Trainee Electrical Officers will be paid stipend of Rs.25000/- per month , Trainee Marine Engineers will be paid stipend of Rs.25000/- per month and Near Coastal Vessel (Trainees) will be paid stipend of Rs 10,000/- per month. Candidates selected as Dredge Cadets, Trainee Marine Engineers will have to execute a Bank gurantee of three lakhs or the same amount to be deposited with DCI to serve DCI for a period of five years after completion of requisite training period and obtaining CoC. Candidates selected as Trainee Electrical Officer shall will have to execute a Bank guarantee of three lakhs or the same amount to be deposited with DCI to serve DCI for a period of five years after completion of requisite training period and joining on board DCI as Electrical Officer.

05. Instrument Engineer (Flying Squad) (on contract basis) /02-UR
Qualification :Should have BE or B Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering

Application Fee: All the Candidates except those belonging to SC/ST category are
required to pay a non‐refundable application fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) for each application through online mode only. Candidate should ensure that online
payment of application fee (For applicable category) should be completed before
filling of application details.
Selection Methodology: The selection is based on performance in Written Test for NCV(Trainees) and Witten Test and Interview both for Dredge Cadets, Trainee Electrical Officers and Trainee Marine Engineers.
