Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled EDM Operator to join our plastic mould manufacturing team in Ambad, Nashik. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience working on EDM machines in a manufacturing or engineering environment, specifically related to mould making. Candidates with experience in plastic mould manufacturing will be given preference. This is a full-time, shop-floor-based role that requires attention to detail, machine-handling expertise, and a strong understanding of precision manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and set up EDM (Wire Cut and/or Die-Sinking) machines for machining of tool parts, cavities, and inserts used in plastic injection moulds.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, tool designs, and 3D component drawings to perform precision machining.

Prepare job setup including workpiece clamping, tool selection, and offset setting on EDM machines.

Monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional tolerances.

Conduct regular machine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the work area.

Identify and troubleshoot machining errors or machine malfunctions.

Coordinate with the design and tool room team for production priorities and quality requirements.

Inspect finished components using standard measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Indicator).

Maintain job records, machine logs, and adhere to production schedules.

Ensure safety procedures and guidelines are strictly followed during operations.
