Role Description
This is a Freelance and remote role for an Education Counsellor. The Education Counsellor will be responsible for providing educational consulting, student counseling, and career counseling services. Daily tasks include advising students on educational opportunities, assisting with course selection, communicating with students and parents, and guiding students through their educational journey. The role also involves staying updated on educational trends and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counselling:

Meet with students and/or parents to assess their interests, academic background, and career goals.

Provide comprehensive counselling sessions on educational programs, training courses, entrance exams, and career planning.

Help students choose the right course or university that aligns with their profile and aspirations.
2. Admission Guidance:

Guide students through the admissions process, including application form filling, document verification, and submission deadlines.

Assist students in preparing the necessary paperwork for admission, scholarships, and financial aid (if applicable).

Track and follow up with students to ensure timely application and enrolment.
3. Program & University Knowledge:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge about courses, universities, fees, application deadlines, eligibility criteria, and program structures.

Present information about academic institutions and programs in a clear and compelling way.

Stay updated with education trends, competitive exams (such as NEET, JEE, IELTS, TOEFL), and emerging career options.
4. Lead Management & Follow-Up:

Manage inquiries generated through walk-ins, calls, emails, websites, and marketing campaigns.

Enter and track leads using CRM software or Excel sheets and maintain communication through calls, emails, or messages.

Follow up consistently with interested leads until final conversion or closure.
5. Communication & Coordination:

Coordinate with academic departments, university representatives, or visa consultants (if applicable) for accurate program information.

Arrange and conduct seminars, webinars, and counselling events for prospective students.

Communicate with students regarding interview schedules, admission status, and orientation details.
6. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed and confidential records of counselling sessions, application progress, and final outcomes.

Generate weekly or monthly reports for enrolment numbers, counselling effectiveness, and lead conversion.

Submit feedback and suggestions for improving student engagement and counselling processes.
7. Customer Service & Relationship Building:

Build and maintain positive relationships with students and their families.

Handle queries, objections, and concerns with patience and professionalism.

Offer post-admission support such as orientation or academic adjustment advice.
