Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Education Counsellor to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Education Counsellor is to guide students and parents through the process of selecting suitable academic programs, courses, or institutions, based on their goals, background, and preferences.
This role involves assessing student interests, explaining program details, assisting with admissions procedures, and offering support through the decision-making process. The Education Counsellor serves as a bridge between students and institutions, ensuring accurate information delivery and fostering trust throughout the enrolment journey.
Ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for education, and a consultative approach to advising students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Consultation & Counselling:

Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions (in-person, over the phone, or virtually) with prospective students and/or their parents.

Understand the student’s academic background, interests, goals, and financial circumstances.

Recommend suitable courses, universities, schools, or training programs that align with their aspirations.

Clarify course details, eligibility criteria, fee structure, visa processes (if applicable), and future career prospects.
2. Lead Management & Conversion:

Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, walk-ins, and inquiries.

Maintain regular communication with leads through phone calls, emails, WhatsApp, and in-person meetings.

Encourage students to apply, guide them through application forms, and ensure all necessary documentation is submitted.

Meet or exceed monthly targets for admissions or enrollments.
3. Admissions & Application Support:

Assist students with the end-to-end admissions process, including form filling, statement of purpose (SOP) writing guidance, scholarship information, and document verification.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as university representatives, visa agents, or academic evaluators.

Track and update the status of student applications on internal CRM systems.

Notify students of admission decisions and guide them through subsequent steps (fee payment, visa, pre-departure, etc.).
4. Relationship Management:

Build and maintain a positive rapport with students and parents to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.

Act as a point of contact between the institution and the student until final admission or enrollment.

Collect feedback from students and ensure resolution of any concerns or queries promptly.
5. Market & Program Knowledge:

Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the education sector, including admission deadlines, scholarship opportunities, and immigration policies.

Develop expertise in specific countries (e.g., Canada, UK, USA, Australia), course types (e.g., MBA, engineering, language courses), or levels (undergraduate, postgraduate, etc.).

Attend training programs, webinars, and events hosted by partner institutions.
6. Reporting & Coordination:

Maintain accurate records of all counselling sessions, leads, and application statuses in the CRM system.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management regarding enquiries, conversions, and targets.

Collaborate with marketing, operations, and academic teams to support campaign success and student experience.
