Job Description

As an education counsellor, you will be responsible for providing supervision and assistance to students during the application process. This includes providing support with admissions, financial aid, scholarships and other post-secondary education-related questions.

Responsibilities:

Providing emotional support and mentorship to students during their educational journey.

Facilitating effective communication between students, parents, and educational institutions.

Keeping track of student progress and intervening when necessary to ensure academic success.

Staying informed about changes in education policies, procedures, and qualifications.

Advocating for students' needs and rights within educational settings.

Conducting student assessments to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and educational needs.

Developing personalised education plans based on each student’s aspirations and abilities.

Guiding course selection, college applications, and career planning.

Assisting students with scholarship applications and financial aid information.

Organising workshops and information sessions on various educational pathways and opportunities.
