Job Summary:
An Educational Sales Consultant acts as the bridge between educational institutions, learners, and the organization’s products or services. This role involves actively promoting and selling educational programs, courses, learning materials, or EdTech solutions to schools, colleges, training centers, and individual students or parents.
The consultant is expected to understand the educational market, identify potential customers, tailor sales approaches according to customer needs, and build strong relationships to ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Client Acquisition

Identify, research, and target potential customers, including schools, colleges, coaching centers, corporates, and individual learners

Present and demonstrate educational products, services, or courses effectively to decision-makers (principals, department heads, students, parents)

Conduct in-person meetings, virtual demos, webinars, and telephonic follow-ups to generate leads and close sales

Develop customized solutions and packages based on client needs, budget, and educational goals
2. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

Stay updated with trends in education, EdTech, curriculum changes, and government policies impacting education

Analyze competitor offerings and pricing to position company products competitively

Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to assist product development and marketing strategies
3. Relationship Building & Account Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat sales and referrals

Provide after-sales support, follow-up, and problem resolution to ensure client satisfaction

Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, product, training) to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of solutions
4. Sales Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools or spreadsheets

Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and action plans to sales managers regularly

Follow company policies for pricing, discounting, contracts, and compliance documentation
5. Marketing Collaboration & Event Participation

Work with marketing to organize seminars, workshops, educational fairs, and promotional events

Represent the company at conferences, school visits, and community engagement programs

Assist in creating sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials tailored to education sector needs

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot) preferred

Comfortable with virtual communication tools (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet)
Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple leads and sales pipelines efficiently

Time management and self-motivation to work independently and meet sales targets
