Assistant Editor, English Language Teaching (School), Viva Education

• Viva Education, the School division of Viva Books,  seeks applications for the post of Assistant Editor, School ELT, from candidates who meet the criteria specified below.
  

Key responsibilities

• Copy-edit and rewrite manuscripts and other types of content
  
• Create educational and assessment content for language learners of various age groups
  
• Proofread typescripts
  
• Visualize drawings and illustrations for various types of text
  
• Brief, direct and coordinate with artists, designers, typesetters and proofreaders
  
• Work with the whole team to bring a book up to the stage of production
  

Skills and experience

• A first-class master’s degree or higher in English
  
• Excellent language skills
  
• Good writing skills
  
• An eye for detail
  
• Good interpersonal skills
  
• 6 months to 1 year’s beginner-level experience at a publishing house preferred
  
• Freshers can apply for trainee positions
