Job Purpose
The EMF Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating environmental management activities, monitoring compliance with applicable environmental requirements, coordinating with project teams and environmental specialists, maintaining documentation, and supporting implementation of the Environmental Management Framework (EMF).
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate implementation of the Environmental Management Framework across project activities.
Coordinate with environmental consultants, technical specialists, project teams, contractors, and government authorities.
Monitor environmental compliance against applicable laws, permits, standards, and project requirements.
Collect, review, and maintain environmental data, reports, records, and supporting documentation.
Track environmental management actions, commitments, timelines, and corrective measures.
Conduct or coordinate site inspections and identify environmental risks and non-compliances.
Prepare periodic environmental monitoring reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates.
Coordinate environmental impact assessments, surveys, audits, and specialist studies where required.
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from inspections and audits.
Support waste management, water management, pollution prevention, biodiversity, and resource-efficiency initiatives.
Maintain an environmental compliance register and ensure timely renewal/closure of applicable requirements.
Organize environmental awareness and training programs for employees and contractors.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding environmental matters.
Support emergency preparedness and response related to environmental incidents.
Ensure proper filing and traceability of environmental records and project documentation.
Provide inputs for project planning and decision-making from an environmental management perspective.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master's degree/diploma in Environmental Management or Sustainability will be an advantage.
3–8 years of relevant experience in environmental management, infrastructure, construction, consulting, or industrial projects.
Good knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance requirements, and environmental management systems.
Experience in environmental monitoring, reporting, audits, and stakeholder coordination.
Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and Environmental Management Systems.
Experience working with environmental consultants and government/regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of EIA/EMP, environmental monitoring, waste management, and pollution-control practices.
Ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
Strong report-writing and presentation skills.
