Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Evaluation Engineer to join our engineering or quality assurance team. The Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for assessing the performance, durability, compliance, and reliability of products, systems, or components through a combination of testing, analysis, and reporting. The role is critical in ensuring products meet regulatory standards, customer requirements, and internal benchmarks before they move to production or the market.
This position bridges the gap between product design, manufacturing, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering (depending on the industry), a deep understanding of test protocols and standards, and hands-on experience in testing procedures and evaluation tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Evaluation and Testing

Plan and conduct technical evaluations and tests on new and existing products to determine performance, quality, and compliance.

Evaluate components, systems, or prototypes under various operating conditions (stress, temperature, load, etc.).

Develop and execute standard and custom test procedures according to company protocols and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, IEC, UL).

Identify failure points, performance deviations, and areas for improvement based on evaluation results.
2. Data Collection and Analysis

Collect accurate data during evaluation through instruments, sensors, and data acquisition systems.

Analyze test data to determine trends, tolerances, and limits using statistical tools or software.

Interpret results and compare them with design specifications, regulatory standards, or client requirements.
3. Reporting and Documentation

Prepare detailed test reports, including methods, results, graphs, analysis, and conclusions.

Document any issues or non-conformities observed during testing and propose solutions or design changes.

Maintain proper records of evaluations, certifications, test setups, and calibration logs.
4. Product Development Support

Collaborate with the R&D and design teams to offer feedback and suggestions based on evaluation outcomes.

Assist in improving product design and reliability through iterative testing and prototyping.

Provide input on materials selection, tolerance settings, and manufacturing methods based on evaluation data.
5. Compliance and Certification

Ensure evaluated products meet applicable national and international standards and industry-specific regulations.

Coordinate with third-party certification agencies for product testing and compliance audits when necessary.

Support internal and external audits with relevant test documentation and validation reports.
6. Equipment Calibration and Maintenance

Maintain and calibrate evaluation tools, testing rigs, and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.

Coordinate with maintenance teams or vendors for service and repair of critical instruments.

Suggest upgrades or acquisition of new testing equipment to enhance evaluation capabilities.
