Job Description

Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, expresso, expresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
Generates revenues by attracting new customers.
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Takes billing responsibility and presents the same after accepting the final order from the guest.
Accepts payment and provides change.
Cleans and sanitizes station throughout shift.
Answers questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation, ingredients and accompanying items.
Takes drink orders at guest greeting, delivers beverages and offers snacks.
Takes entire order, repeats order to guest for clarification.
Merchandises menu items: Coffee, beverages, snacks and desserts.
Rings up orders on micros quickly and in proper sequence and uses appropriate abbreviations and charges.
Places accurate orders and attends to guest needs when delivering.
Checks back after delivery of food to ensure guest satisfaction.
Observes guests to respond to any additional needs.
Maintains table and counter appearance all the time, checks drink levels, changes ashtrays, removes clutter and provides adequate napkins, etc.
Takes billing responsibility and presents the same after accepting the final order from the guest.
Accepts payment and provides change.
Attends shift meetings according to shift schedule.
Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
Assists in receiving supplies and stacks them in designated places.
Assists in conducting inventories as required.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
