Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Engagement and Service:

Greet all customers warmly and professionally as they approach the sales counter.

Understand the customer’s requirements by asking the right questions and actively listening.

Offer product information clearly and confidently, including specifications, pricing, availability, and features.

Handle customer queries, complaints, or returns courteously and resolve issues promptly.

Provide guidance on new arrivals, promotions, and best-sellers to influence purchase decisions.
2. Sales Execution:

Maximize sales opportunities by recommending complementary products or upgrades (cross-selling and up-selling).

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of product lines to meet customer needs efficiently.

Meet individual and counter-specific sales targets and contribute to overall store goals.

Convert inquiries into successful sales while maintaining a helpful and non-pushy approach.
3. Transaction Handling:
-
Process sales quickly and accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems or billing software.

Manage different payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, wallets, and gift vouchers.

Issue receipts, warranties, or return slips, and handle customer exchanges or refunds in line with store policies.

Maintain daily cash balance sheets and ensure accuracy during opening and closing counters.
4. Stock and Display Management:

Ensure that products on the counter are well-stocked, neatly arranged, and properly labeled.

Keep displays clean, organized, and aligned with store merchandising standards.

Report low stock levels or fast-moving items to the inventory or store manager for timely restocking.

Assist in stock counting, tagging, and pricing during audits or inventory checks.
5. Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with inventory staff, floor associates, or store supervisors to fulfill customer requests (e.g., checking stock in the backroom).

Share customer feedback or product issues with the appropriate team to improve service or product quality.

Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth store operations and achieve common goals.

Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and store events or promotions.
6. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of customer orders, service requests, or special instructions.

Log product returns, refunds, or issues in a timely and clear manner.

Support the store team in preparing sales reports, customer feedback logs, or service follow-up lists.
