Job Description
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Work with government high schools (you will be attached to 2-3 government schools and will have to facilitate sessions on computational thinking, digital literacy, life skills, career skills, and gender, both level 1 and 2, for 8th and 9th-grade students)
2. Ensure project implementation in schools, so that key performance indicators of the project are met in a timely fashion
3. Build and manage relationships with school teachers and HMs to raise awareness about the program
4. Build and manage relationships with block/district officials to raise awareness, increase advocacy and have greater buy-in for the program
5. Work on capacity and awareness building amongst parents and school staff about the project so that it can become a teacher-led intervention in schools
6. Plan parent meetings and other events at the school level, as necessary
7. Enable girl students towards STEM pathways in higher education
8. Help students form student clubs, make their artifacts, and present them in front of various stakeholders
9. Plan and organize two share-out events at the school level, half-yearly and annually
10. Plan and organize volunteer engagement opportunities - virtual and physical - for IBM volunteers to participate in data collection, monitoring & evaluation.
Candidate must be willing to travel and fluency in Kannada language must.
