Temporary Faculty/ Temporary Faculty (Part time) positions in various departments of NIT, Tiruchirappalli.
Qualifications: (i) For all Disciplines in general: UG, PG and Ph.D. should be in the respective disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Humanities and Management Studies. (ii) For the Discipline of Engineering/Technology/Architecture: First class both at UG and PG level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) from the recognized University/ Institute and Ph.D. is desirable. (iii) For the Discipline of Science/ Humanities/Computer Applications/ Management Studies: First class both at UG and PG level (60% or 6.5/ 10 CGPA) from the recognized University/ Institute and Ph.D. in the respective discipline. (iv) For the Discipline of Science/Humanities/Computer Applications/ Management Studies: If candidates with Ph.D. are not available, candidates with First Class M.Phil. for the discipline of Science/Humanities/Computer related topics/Management studies in addition to First Class in UG & PG level will be considered for Temporary Faculty (Part Time) position.
1. Architecture EQ: B.Arch. and PG in Architecture/ Planning/ Housing/ Urban Design/ Product Design/ Visual Communication/ Building Technology/ Building Engineering and Management. Must have registered with Council of Architecture. Desirable: Ph.D. in one of the above disciplines.
2. Computer Applications* EQ: First Class in M.C.A./M.Sc. (C.S. or equivalent) Desirable: M.Phil./Ph.D. in Computer Applications Specialization: Data Structures and Algorithm, Cloud Computing, Computer Networks, DBMS, Programming Languages, Operating System. Graphics and Multimedia.
3. Computer Science Engineering EQ: First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology and First Class M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology. Desirable: Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology. Specialization: Algorithms and Data Structure, Programming Languages, Computer Architectures, Microprocessor/Micro Controllers, Database Management Systems, Automata theory and Compilers, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Web Technology.
4. Humanities and Social Sciences* EQ (for English): First Class in Master Degree in English Desirable: M.Phil. / Ph.D. in English Specialization (English): English Literature, ELT, Linguistics. EQ (for Economics): First Class in Master Degree in Economics Desirable: M.Phil. / Ph.D. in Economics Specialization (Economics): Economics and Industrial Economics.
5. Management Studies* EQ: First Class U.G., First Class M.B.A. or equivalent Degree Desirable: Ph.D. in Business Administration Specialization: Operations
6. Mechanical Engineering EQ: First Class UG in Mechanical Engineering and PG in Thermal Science/Design/Industrial Safety Engineering Desirable: Ph.D.
7. Metallurgical & Materials Engineering EQ: Anyone degree in Metallurgy; Desirable: UG in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering & Ph.D. Specialization: Extractive metallurgy
8. Physics* EQ: First Class both at UG & PG level 60% from the recognized
university and Ph.D. in Physics.

Management Studies - Rs. 25,000/- per month as Temporary Faculty (Part Time).
