Field Sales Executive - OTC product - Medical Store Channel
Job Description
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through various channels.
* Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
* Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.
* Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Territory Sales and Coverage

Visit assigned areas daily to promote and sell OTC products to chemists, pharmacies, and local medical stores.

Achieve monthly sales targets by generating orders and ensuring repeat business.

Expand the customer base by identifying and onboarding new retail outlets.

Ensure regular order booking and coordinate with distributors for timely supply and fulfillment.
2. Product Promotion and Awareness

Introduce new OTC products to retailers and explain features, usage, and benefits.

Provide accurate information about dosage, pricing, offers, and schemes.

Place point-of-sale (POS) material such as posters, shelf displays, wobblers, and leaflets for visual merchandising.

Conduct product detailing with pharmacists and store staff to increase recommendation levels.
3. Distributor and Stock Management

Coordinate with local distributors or stockists to ensure product availability.

Follow up on order deliveries, stock replenishment, and payment collections (if applicable).

Monitor stock movement at store and distributor levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
4. Relationship Building

Develop strong relationships with chemists, retail store owners, and staff.

Resolve any queries, complaints, or issues related to the product, delivery, or pricing.

Build brand trust and ensure continued shelf space for key OTC products.
5. Reporting and Documentation

Submit daily sales reports, outlet visit details, and order bookings using mobile apps or Excel sheets.

Maintain a beat plan (route plan) and update customer database regularly.

Track competitor activities including pricing, promotions, and availability in the territory.
6. Field Discipline and Market Feedback

Adhere to daily field working hours, beat plan, and reporting structure.

Gather market intelligence and feedback from chemists regarding product performance, customer demand, and competitor activity.

Share insights with the sales manager and marketing team for campaign planning and product improvement.
