About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Food Stall Helper / Counter Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is experienced in making and serving a variety of fast food items such as pani puri, chat, sandwiches, burgers, momos, pizzas, juices, and ice creams. Along with food preparation, the candidate must ensure cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and hygiene standards are always maintained.
This is a hands-on role that combines food preparation, customer service, and stall maintenance. If you are passionate about street food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and value hygiene, this is the right job for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation and Service

Prepare and serve various fast food items such as:
-
Pani Puri & Chat – Prepare stuffing, flavored water (pani), chutneys, and serve fresh to customers.

Sandwiches & Burgers – Grill bread, prepare fillings, toast and serve with appropriate garnishing.

Momos & Pizza – Steam or fry momos, prepare base sauce, and assist in pizza baking or reheating.

Juice & Beverages – Cut fruits, operate a juicer or mixer, and serve fresh juices/shakes.

Ice Cream & Cold Items – Scoop, serve, and decorate ice cream servings as per menu.

Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation of food.

Assist main cook or chef in preparation, chopping, and ingredient handling.
2. Customer Handling
-
Greet and serve customers with a polite and friendly attitude.

Take orders, prepare them quickly, and serve with minimal waiting time.
-
Handle customer questions about food ingredients, portion sizes, or combos.

Suggest popular or combo items to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
3. Hygiene & Cleanliness
-
Keep the stall, counter, and kitchen area clean and well-organized at all times.

Sanitize utensils, chopping boards, and counters regularly.

Wear clean uniform/apron, gloves, and headcap (if applicable) during work.
-
Follow basic food safety protocols, such as avoiding cross-contamination, washing vegetables/fruits thoroughly, and handling hot/cold food appropriately.
4. Shop Maintenance
-
Sweep and mop the floor at the start and end of each day.
-
Clean food machines (juicers, sandwich makers, ice cream freezers, fryers, etc.) as per schedule.

Refill water, drinking supplies, paper cups, and napkins regularly.

Dispose of waste properly and manage bins/hygiene-related duties.
5. Stock & Inventory Assistance
-
Inform shop owner or supervisor when stock items like bread, vegetables, sauces, or packaging are running low.

Assist in unpacking groceries and placing items in proper storage.

Label ingredients with dates and follow FIFO (First In First Out) practices.
6. Team Support
-
Coordinate with other helpers, cashiers, and delivery boys if present.

Support in packaging for takeaway/delivery orders.

Cooperate during rush hours and festivals by working extra shifts if needed.
Required Skills and Qualities

Good knowledge of Indian street food (especially pani puri, chat) and fast food items (burger, pizza, etc.)

Basic cooking and food-handling experience

Friendly and positive attitude toward customers

Willingness to learn new recipes or shop-specific styles

Physically fit and able to stand for long hours

Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
