Job Description
Overview of the Role
The Front Desk Manager at Tone Zone Health and Fitness Centre is the face of the facility. As the first point of contact for members, guests, and staff, you’ll set the tone for their entire experience at our fitness center. From answering questions to resolving any concerns, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Whether it’s managing member check-ins, overseeing day-to-day administrative tasks, or providing top-notch customer service, you’ll be instrumental in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere that reflects our commitment to health and fitness.
Greet members and guests in a warm, professional manner
Check-in members and ensure membership status is current
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and provide information about gym services, classes, and promotions
Handle new member sign-ups, tours, and orientations
Process payments, renewals, and cancellations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and common areas
Monitor member check-ins to ensure proper access control
Report maintenance issues or member concerns to management
Enforce gym policies and assist with minor conflict resolution
Assist in sales of retail items such as drinks, supplements, or gear
Support other gym staff with administrative tasks or event coordination as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills

Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with members, guests, and staff.

Customer Service Excellence: A friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for delivering top-tier service. Ability to resolve issues and create solutions in real time.

Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Proficiency: Comfortability using a variety of software systems, including membership management tools and point-of-sale systems. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred.

Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to address customer concerns and operational challenges efficiently.
Preferred Experience

Previous Experience in Customer Service: Experience in a front-facing role, especially in a health, fitness, or hospitality environment.
