Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Full-time Accountant and Financial Specialist in the Kolkata office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, track payments, and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor accounts receivable, ensure timely invoicing, and follow up on overdue payments.
3. Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Assist in tax audits and liaise with external auditors.
4. Inventory and Asset Management:
- Track hardware and software inventory from a financial perspective.
- Maintain records of company assets and their depreciation schedules.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in creating annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances and report on performance against budgets.
6. Support for Financial Strategy:
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making for product pricing, cost management, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with teams to streamline financial processes and implement cost-saving measures.
7. ERP and Financial Tools:
- Manage and utilize financial and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or other ERP systems).
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data across systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, with working knowledge of international transactions.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software is an advantage.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other regulatory requirements in India.
