ESIC Hospital, Varanasi (ESIC) invites application for the position Full Time Super Specialists/Part Time Super Specialists

Department: Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Neurology
Tenure of contract: For FTSS – One year on contract or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. The contract will be extendable for a period of 3 years based on satisfactory performance. For PTSS- One year on contract or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.
Qualification: DM/DNB in concerned superspeciality and registered with Medical Council
Consolidated Remuneration:
a) Full Time SuperSpecialist-Rs 2,00,000 per month Working hours: 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM on week days and 09.00 AM to 01.00 PM on Saturdays. Should make emergency visit as and when it is required
b) Consolidated Remuneration and Duties of PTSS - Particulars Part Time SuperSpecialist
i) Fixed Remuneration Rs1,00,000 per month
ii) Working Hours 4 hours a day for 4 days in a week
iii) Charges for Emergency visit, if willing Rs20,000
iv) Additional Remuneration beyond 16 hours/week Rs.1,200/- for every additional hour
Terms and Conditions:
i) Full Time Super Specialists:
a. The SuperSpecialist will be recruited for a period of 3 years with annual evaluation and term renewed every year based on satisfactory performance
b. Available on call 24x7.
c. The Super specialist shall be responsible for all cases undergoing treatment under his supervision in that superspeciality discipline.
d. He will be entitled for the leave @ 04 days for each month of work on pro-rata basis in a calendar year. In the event, the Super specialist prefers not to avail the leave; the same may be encashed to a maximum limit of 30 days
e. The selected superspecialist must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period as desired by ESIC. The policy is meant to cover professional liability falling on them as a result of errors and omissions committed by them while rendering professional services. The minimum sum assured per annum should be Rs.10 lakhs. A copy of the Insurance & Premium receipt must be submitted within 7 days from the date of engagement.
ii) Part Time Super Specialists: Minimum working hours will be 16 per week (4 days x 4 hours per week). Available on call 24x7. He/She will not be entitled for any kind of leave or benefits. The selected superspecialist must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period as desired by ESIC. The minimum sum assured per annum should be at least Rs.10 lakhs. A copy of the Insurance & Premium receipt must be submitted within 7 days from the date of engagement.
Age Limit: For FTSS- Age not to exceed 45 years as on date of interview. Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules. For PTSS- Age not to exceed 67 years as on date of interview.
