Applications from the eminent scholars/retired Professors are invited (on Plain Paper) for appointment of Professor to Head the Chairs established in the Himachal Pradesh University on the following terms and conditions.
1. Post Name: Professor to Head
2. Qualification:
Eminent scholar with at least 10 years' experience as Professor /Reader in a University/ Institute. OR Eminent scholar who has distinguished himself/ herself in his/ her area of interest as also relevant to the area of chairs.
3. Salary: In case of direct recruitment, their pay shall be fixed in the Professor's scale. In case of retired Professor, consolidated salary of Rs. 40,000/- per month plus pension.
4. Period of appointment/ Tenure:
A person appointed shall hold the position for a term of three years. This term can be extended by another two years depending upon the progress of the incumbent or at the discretion of the University but not exceeding 70 years of age.
Age Limit:
The maximum age upto which a person can hold this position is 70 (Seventy years). Age of the candidate shall be reckoned as on 01.10.2021.
