Job Description
Our company is looking to hire a network administrator who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our computer networks. You will be in charge of overseeing digital security and performing maintenance to ensure that the system is operating at full capacity. You will also be tasked with installing hardware and software when necessary.
- Qualification: BE/BTech/MCA
- Experience: 0 – 2 years
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Setup and Configuration:

Network Installation: Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Network Design: Plan and implement network architectures that meet the organization’s requirements, ensuring scalability and reliability.

IP Addressing: Configure IP address schemes and set up subnets to ensure efficient and secure network operations.

System Integration: Integrate network services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPN) with the organization’s network and ensure compatibility with different operating systems and platforms.
2. Network Monitoring and Optimization:

Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance using various tools to ensure optimal network health, minimize downtime, and address issues proactively.

Traffic Analysis: Analyze network traffic to ensure efficient use of resources, optimize data flow, and minimize bottlenecks.

Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, improving system efficiency and minimizing any network-related disruptions.
3. Security Management:

Firewall Management: Configure and manage firewalls to protect the network from unauthorized access and external threats.

VPN Configuration: Set up and maintain VPN connections for secure remote access for employees and users.

Network Security: Implement network security policies, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, to safeguard data, prevent cyber-attacks, and maintain confidentiality.

Patching and Updates: Regularly update network devices with the latest firmware and security patches to protect the network from vulnerabilities.
4. Troubleshooting and Support:

Technical Support: Provide support to users and troubleshoot network-related issues (e.g., connectivity problems, slow speeds) in a timely and professional manner.

Incident Resolution: Address network outages and service interruptions, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.

Hardware Support: Manage network-related hardware issues and coordinate repair/replacement of faulty equipment.
5. Backup and Disaster Recovery:

Network Backup: Implement and maintain network backups and disaster recovery protocols to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of a system failure.

Redundancy: Set up and maintain redundant network configurations to ensure high availability of critical network services.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

Network Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, IP addressing schemes, hardware inventory, network diagrams, and system settings.

System Logs: Monitor and analyze system logs to track network activity, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with security policies.

Report Generation: Provide regular reports to management on network performance, security incidents, and infrastructure changes.
7. Collaboration and Training:
