Job Title: Welder (ITI Freshers/ Experienced)

Job Description:
We are hiring Welder with ITI certification (Welder/Fitter) or minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience in heavy engineering or industrial manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding as per drawings and specifications using MIG, ARC, or other methods.
- Ensure quality and precision in work
- Follow all safety standards and procedures
- Work collaboratively with the production team
Requirements:
- ITI in Welder or Fitter trade OR minimum 1 year experience in the same field
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience in heavy fabrication / industrial production
- Strong focus on quality and safety

Key Responsibilities:
1. Welding and Fabrication:

Perform welding operations such as MIG, TIG, ARC (SMAW), and gas welding (as per project requirement).

Join metal components following detailed drawings, schematics, and instructions.

Use flame-cutting, grinding, and metal preparation tools to fabricate metal parts.
2. Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.

Measure and cut materials according to specifications using appropriate tools.

Verify alignment, dimensions, and tolerances using measuring instruments.
3. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
-
Operate welding equipment safely, including welding machines, gas cutters, grinders, and drills.

Inspect and maintain welding tools and equipment for optimal performance.

Report equipment malfunctions or damage to the supervisor.
4. Quality Control:

Conduct quality checks to ensure welds are free of defects such as cracks, porosity, or weak joints.

Use testing tools and methods such as visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection (MPI), or dye penetrant (PT) as needed.

Ensure all work meets required standards and tolerances.
5. Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as welding masks, gloves, safety boots, and fire-resistant clothing.

Ensure proper ventilation and safety checks while working with hazardous materials.

Adhere to company, industry, and government safety regulations and welding codes (e.g., ASME, AWS).
6. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked.

Fill out job cards or digital logs as required by the production process.

Report work progress and any irregularities to supervisors or quality inspectors.
