Job Description
Basic education care givers , BSC students , GNM,
Good communication skills, especially in the local language and/or English
Experience assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and toileting
Availability to work flexible shifts, including night or 24-hour care if needed
0-2 years of experience in caregiving
Must be located within a commutable distance to Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Should know at least 2 languages
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment and Monitoring
-
Perform comprehensive health assessments for new and existing patients.

Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, etc.) and record clinical findings.
-
Identify changes in a patient’s condition and escalate to physicians when necessary.
-
Track progress and adjust care plans as per recovery or deterioration.
2. Medication and Treatment Administration
-
Administer medications, injections, and IV therapy as per doctor’s prescriptions.
-
Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative care.

Manage catheterization, tube feeding (NG or PEG), and oxygen therapy as needed.

Assist in the rehabilitation of patients with stroke, fractures, or neurological conditions.
3. Personal Care Assistance
-
Support patients with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.

Encourage hygienic practices and educate family members on infection prevention.

Help with feeding (if required) and monitor food and fluid intake for nutritional balance.
4. Health Education and Family Support
-
Educate patients and families about medications, care routines, and healthy practices.

Provide emotional and psychological support to patients dealing with chronic illnesses or terminal conditions.

Guide caregivers on proper handling, emergency response, and long-term care strategies.
5. Care Coordination and Communication
-
Work collaboratively with doctors, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Schedule follow-up visits, diagnostic tests, or telehealth appointments as needed.

Maintain clear and accurate communication with the healthcare team and family members.

Assist with transition care planning from hospital to home.
6. Documentation and Reporting
-
Keep detailed records of all services provided, medication schedules, and patient responses.

Maintain logs of vital signs, treatments, and observations.

Submit timely reports and updates to supervising nurses or home health agencies.

Ensure compliance with privacy laws (HIPAA or local regulations).
