Job Description
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Customer Service:
1. Greeting and seating guests
2. Taking orders and providing menu information
3. Ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or requests
B.Table Maintenance:
1. Setting up tables with appropriate utensils and linens
2. Clearing and cleaning tables promptly after guests leave
3. Refilling water glasses and attending to table needs
C. Order Fulfillment:
1. Communicating orders to the kitchen staff
2. Serving food and beverages to guests promptly
3. Checking that orders are accurate and complete
D. Up-selling and Recommendations:
1. Suggesting additional items or specials to enhance the guest experience
2. Providing recommendations based on guest preferences and menu knowledge
E. Cleanliness and Hygiene:
1. Maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
2. Ensuring proper sanitation of dishes, utensils, and glassware
3. Adhering to food safety standards
F. Team Collaboration:
1. Coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
2. Communicating guest preferences or special requests to the kitchen
G. Knowledge of Menu:
1. Being familiar with the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods
2. Answering customer questions about menu items
H. Adaptability:
1. Handling special requests or dietary restrictions from guests
2. Being flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances
I. Professionalism:
1. Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
2. Resolving conflicts or issues with guests diplomatically
J. Compliance:
1. Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
2. Following the establishment's policies and procedures
