Job Description
The Housekeeping Apprentice Trainee is responsible for assisting the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The trainee will learn and apply hotel housekeeping standards while ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Basic Cleaning Tasks:
Making beds, changing linens, and tidying guest rooms
Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, tubs, and mirrors
Dusting furniture and surfaces
Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors
Emptying trash cans and replacing liners
Replenishing guest room amenities (towels, toiletries)
Learning Procedures:
Familiarization with cleaning chemicals and proper usage
Understanding and following established cleaning standards and protocols
Learning proper techniques for cleaning different surfaces
Guest Service:
Responding to guest requests and reporting any issues to supervisors
Maintaining a positive and professional attitude when interacting with guests
Training and Development:
Participating in on-the-job training sessions with experienced housekeepers
Attending scheduled training classes on safety procedures, chemical handling, and guest service
Receiving feedback and guidance from supervisors to improve skills
