Job Description
Introduction
An HR Intern provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department and helps manage various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, documentation, and payroll assistance. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in human resources management and develop skills in talent acquisition, HR operations, and employee relations.
The role is ideal for students or fresh graduates who wish to build a career in HR and gain practical exposure to organizational processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Assist in posting job openings on job portals, LinkedIn, and social media platforms.

Source and screen resumes using Naukri, Indeed, LinkedIn, or other platforms.

Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.

Maintain candidate databases and track application statuses.
2. Onboarding & Induction

Assist in preparing offer letters, appointment letters, and joining kits.

Help organize orientation sessions for new employees.

Ensure proper documentation and collection of employee details.

Coordinate with departments to make sure new hires are smoothly integrated.
3. HR Operations & Administration

Maintain and update employee records in Excel or HRMS software.

Assist in managing attendance, leave records, and employee timesheets.

Help prepare HR-related reports, letters, and memos.

Support payroll processing by verifying attendance and employee details.
4. Employee Engagement & Training

Assist in planning team-building activities, workshops, and training programs.

Conduct employee feedback surveys and analyze results.

Help in organizing events, celebrations, and welfare activities.
5. Performance Management Support

Help in collecting data for performance appraisals.

Track employee KPIs and provide necessary reports to the HR manager.

Assist in developing performance dashboards and feedback forms.
6. Compliance & Policy Assistance

Support the HR team in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Help maintain confidentiality and proper filing of HR documents.

Assist in policy creation, revisions, and employee communications.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

MBA or PGDM students specializing in HR will be preferred.
Technical Skills
-
Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with HRMS or applicant tracking systems (ATS) is an advantage.

Understanding of recruitment processes and HR policies is a plus.
Soft Skills
