Job Description
One position for Research associate is available in the research group of Dr. Amlan K. Roy, Professor, Department of Chemical Sciences, IISER Kolkata.
1. Name of the Post: Research Associate
2. Number of position available: One.
3. Title of the project/ research work: Time-Independent And Time-dependent Information In Various Confined Systems
4. Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in theoretical or computational chemistry along with consistently good academic record in previous examinations. Candidates should have a strong theoretical background (with knowledge on quantum mechanics/chemistry) and will have to carry out theoretical development on Density Functional Theory (DFT).
5. Desired Qualification: Expertise in Density functional Theory, scientific programming and numerical analysis will be necessary.
6. Remuneration (Consolidated): As per CSIR rule.
7. Tenure: Initially for a period of 1 (one) year, extendable upto a maximum of 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance of the fellow and the availability of fund.
Age Limit:
Must not be over 32 years as of 15th March, 2021 which can be relaxed for certain reserved categories as per the prevailing rules of the Government of India. Relaxation in age, educational qualification or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.
