Job Description
The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) Library is looking for young, dynamic, tech-savvy, highly motivated and committed FRESH Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities with consistently good academic records, to serve as Library Professional Trainees purely on a temporary basis for one year.
Persons having good communication and interpersonal skills with enthusiasm and passion to learn new skills and deliver services using emerging new tools and technology will
be preferred.
Essential Qualifications: Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) or equivalent with First Class
Nature of Traineeship: Learn while you work on different functions & services of the library using emerging tools and technologies. Unlimited opportunities to explore, learn and contribute. Mentored by senior & experienced professionals. Offers an environment, culture, and opportunities to enable you to develop yourself as a well-rounded LIS professional.
Duration: The duration of the traineeship will be for one year from the date of joining.
Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month.
Number of Trainees to be admitted: FIVE
Age Limit: Not exceeding 26 years as of 26th June 2022
