Applications are invited from the citizen of India for filling up the following temporary position in the Sponsored Research Project at this Institute. The position is purely temporary, initially for a period of 03 Months, and extendable but co-terminus with the duration of the project, on contractual basis with consolidated pay. The requisite qualification, experience and others details are given below:

4. Duration: for initial appointment 03 Months

7. Consolidate Pay 47,000/- +HRA (As per institute Norms)
8. Minimum Qualification and Experience Eligibility: PhD in Chemistry/Physics /Materials Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Nanoscience or any other allied areas from a recognized University/Institution. Those who have submitted thesis can also apply however the fellowship will be revised in such cases.
9. Experience: Previous Experience in synthesis of nanomaterials, characterization and analysis, device fabrication, Lithography and hands-on experience in gas sensing.
10. Desirable: The candidate with prior expertise or experience in fabrication and characterization of gas sensors, materials synthesis and characterization, data handling and analysis.
11. Job Description: The candidate will work on development of new nanostructured materials, surface functionalization, and fabrication of electrodes, characterization and analysis of nanomaterials for sensing devices. Resistive VOCs/gases sensors will be fabricated and tested for achieving high specificity and sensitivity under ambient conditions. The candidate is expected to be highly motivated to work independently as well as in a team.
12. Brief description of Project The project involves development of Volatile organic compound and gas sensors based on new materials (functionalized metal oxides and layered materials) for use in next-generation technologies, IoT enabled environmental monitoring and healthcare. The project will involve synthesis of functionalized layered nanomaterials, designing and fabrication of sensors, characterization and evaluation of single and multi-array sensors
