External Description- The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include

The Northern Trust Global Service Business unit is seeking the following:
Global Services is looking for candidates to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, nimble and pragmatic to join our team as a Reconciliations Agile Product Owner for the Custody domain. As an agile product owner within our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of functional and technical capabilities of a product, elaborating stories, collaborating with multiple teams and communicating clearly with stakeholders.
We are looking for an individual that has experience in Agile practices.
They should bring a passion for solving complex and challenging problems while being a solid leader.
Communicate the Vision and Goals at the beginning of each Release and Iteration.
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize backlog and epics to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value (such as user value, technical trade-offs/debt, business value, cost/benefit analysis, business accounting, operating costs, market and competitor analysis, stakeholder management, etc.) aligned with product strategy.
Develop scope and define backlog items (epic/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team.
Elaborate stories and define acceptance criteria embracing agile practices. Accept stories as ‘done.’
Solve product related problems, make decisions, and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track.
Actively mitigate blockers that could impede successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
Possess an understanding of end-to-end user experience, integration and dependencies.
Lead and actively participate in Team Demo and Retrospectives.
Collaborate and communicate continuously, effectively and directly, with technology, business stakeholders, BA’s, SME’s and testers.
Work with Product Management and Stakeholders to define product vision, road-map and growth opportunities.
Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI.
Lead the product release plan sessions and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
Product support and user training.

Qualifications -The Successful Candidate Will Benefit From Having

College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
Previous working experience as an Agile Product Owner.
Experience developing and delivering products in a collaborative, agile team environment.
Knowledge of reconciliations, custody accounting and securities is vital to success in this role!
In depth knowledge of agile processes and principles.
Outstanding collaboration, communication, presentation, negotiation and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Creative thinker with a vision.
Attention to details.
Passion about the product they are delivering.
Overall 14 plus yrs of experience with 5 plus yrs of relevant experience in custody reconciliation is required for the role
