Online applications are invited from eligible young, bright and highly motivated individuals to work under Indian Spectroscopic and Imaging Space Telescope (INSIST) Project for the following position

3. Qualification
a) Essential : M.Sc in Physics/Astrophysics OR M.Sc/B.Tech in Computer science/Information Technology with a recommended minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution with experience in dealing with astronomical data.
Candidates should have a good practical knowledge of Python programming language. Candidates are requested to provide relevant documents (like reports/published papers) in support of their claims.

b) Desirable : Exposure to astronomical telescopes, observations, knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java-script, PHP/Postgres and skill in documentation.
4. Remuneration : Rs. 20,000/- per month (Consolidated)
5. Place of work : Bengaluru
6. Scope of Work : To carry out science data simulations for various observing modes of INSIST mission, creating tools for data validation, reduction and storage. The selected candidate is expected to generate tools for all software related solutions for the project from pre- to post-launch operations. The person is expected to work with the science and engineering team of the INSIST
