Interior Designer
Job Description
Strong creativity and aesthetic sense

Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, MS office, photoshop etc.)

Good communication & client-handling skills

Knowledge of materials, color theory, and furniture trends

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Project management & time management abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, diploma in interior design, or a related field

Diploma or Certification in Interior Design
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development & Space Planning:
-
Develop creative interior design concepts based on client preferences and project needs.
-
Create space planning layouts, furniture arrangements, and design elements.
-
Select color schemes, materials, lighting, and furniture to enhance aesthetics and functionality.
-
Use 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.) to develop and present designs.
Client Consultation & Project Management:
-
Meet with clients to understand their design requirements, budget, and vision.
-
Present design proposals, mood boards, and sample materials for approval.
-
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
-
Manage project timelines, procurement, and installation processes.
Material & Vendor Coordination:
-
Source and select appropriate materials, fabrics, and finishes for interior projects.

Work closely with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors for procurement and execution.
-
Ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
Technical Documentation & Compliance:
-
Prepare detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D renderings.

Ensure designs comply with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines.

Create BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for budgeting and approvals.
Trends & Innovation:
-
Stay updated on industry trends, design innovations, and sustainable practices.

Experiment with new materials, technologies, and design techniques to enhance creativity.

Incorporate smart and eco-friendly design solutions for modern living.
