Applications are invited for the recruitment of Research Associate (RA) positions purely on a temporary basis at the North-East Centre of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). The selected candidates would be placed in Category I, II, or Il depending on the qualification and experience as per the DST OM No.SR/S9/2-08/2018 dated 30 January 2019.
1. Qualification: Ph.D. degree with at least one publication in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal. Those who have submitted their thesis may also apply.

3. Areas of interest: Automorphic forms- Number theory, Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing, Machine Learning/Computer Vision/Big Data Analytics, Earth and Environmental Sciences/AtmosphericAreas of interest Sciences/Meteorology.
4. Tenure of appointment: The tenure of appointment will be initially till 31 March 2022 from the date of his/her joining the Institute. The tenure may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on the availability of funds and performance of the candidate. The term of research associateship can be up to a maximum of two years
5. Pay: Consolidated monthly emoluments of Rs.47000/-(Rupees forty-seven thousand only), 49000/- (Rupees forty-nine thousand only) and R54000/- (Rupees fifty-four thousand only) plus HRA as per rules of the Institute per month depending on the qualification and experience in the three categories respectively.
