IT Sales Executive
Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy, and goal-oriented IT Sales Executive to join our sales and business development team. The role involves promoting and selling IT products and services such as software solutions, IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, and managed services to businesses and organizations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology trends, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving business problems through IT solutions. This role requires a combination of sales strategy, product knowledge, client relationship building, and lead conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting:

Identify and research potential clients through online tools, industry directories, networking, and referrals.

Generate qualified leads via cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and attending webinars or events.

Maintain a consistent pipeline of leads and prospects in CRM systems.
2. Client Needs Assessment:

Engage in consultative conversations to understand client requirements, IT pain points, and current technology stack.

Analyze customer business models and recommend appropriate IT products or services.

Prepare customized proposals that address client needs and add value to their operations.
3. Product Presentation & Demonstration:

Conduct product presentations and demos for clients via video conferencing or in-person meetings.

Collaborate with technical teams to prepare proof of concepts (POCs) or product walkthroughs.

Clearly explain product features, benefits, pricing models, and use cases.
4. Sales Negotiation & Closure:

Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with clients.

Close deals and ensure proper documentation including contracts, purchase orders, and onboarding forms.

Coordinate with accounts and delivery teams to ensure smooth transition post-sale.
5. Relationship Management:

Develop long-term relationships with clients by maintaining regular contact and follow-ups.

Act as the single point of contact for customer queries, escalation, or support coordination.

Gather feedback and identify cross-selling or upselling opportunities.
6. Market Research & Strategy:

Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.

Contribute to the development of new sales strategies, campaigns, and promotional plans.

Identify new markets or segments for business expansion.
7. Reporting & CRM Management:

Update CRM software (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot) with call logs, meeting notes, deal status, and follow-ups.

Generate weekly/monthly sales reports including performance metrics, target achievements, and forecasts.

Share feedback with product and marketing teams to enhance product offerings.
