Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable ITI Fitter to join our production or maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and infrastructure in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
The candidate should be ITI-certified in the Fitter trade, with hands-on experience or a strong interest in working with mechanical tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assembly & Installation:

Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints for assembling machinery and components.

Fit and assemble parts accurately using tools such as drills, grinders, hammers, and wrenches.

Install mechanical systems and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
2. Maintenance & Repairs:
-
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machines.
-
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs or component replacements.

Ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
3. Tool and Equipment Handling:

Use and maintain various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

Ensure tools are stored properly and are in good working condition.

Follow tool usage procedures and safety standards.
4. Safety and Compliance:

Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal safety protocols.

Report any unsafe conditions or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
5. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain daily logs and records of work completed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.

Report mechanical issues, delays, or process improvements to the reporting manager.
Technical Skills:

Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions

Good understanding of mechanical systems and components

Familiarity with tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc.

Basic welding or fabrication knowledge (optional but beneficial)
