Job Description
- Manage the assigned journals right from the paper submission till the article reaches acceptance/rejection
- Monitor the peer-review process / front end process of pre-publication.
- Maintain the database of the journal and analyze areas of improvement.
- Checking the incoming manuscripts for consistency based on the Instructions to Authors.
- Keeping a close on the inflow of manuscripts and ensuring that the paper flow is not bottlenecked at any stage.
- Ensure high quality deliverables within the agreed timespan.
- Setup special issues and workflows as requested.
- Moving the papers to production system in a timely manner.
- Communicating and developing a mutually beneficial relationship with the journal community.
- Intermediary between client and customers.
- Coordinating with clients through e-mails.
- Organizing telephone conference, if required.
- Provide training to editors as and when required.
- Provide timely assistance and innovative solutions to the queries raised.
- Assisting the journal community.
- Serve as an internal resource for the Production and Editorial departments.
- Help the journal in realizing its demands as per the workflow and ensuring to provide a working platform which caters to their requirements.
- Maintain the faster turnaround times of the journals
- Should be able to find out the areas of slow process in the journals.
- Troubleshooting of effective process management.
- Identification of the best way of implementing and going forward.
- Build a cordial working environment within the team and interested in building a career.
