Job Description

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow

Name of Project: Understanding diversification of Impatiens species in the Northern Western Ghats

Minimum Educational qualification ( as prescribed by the funding agency): MSc in Biological Sciences (awarded) with at least one year experience in carrying out field ecology projects with plants as well as experience with insect identification /taxonomy.

Candidates with CSIR/UGC NET or GATE qualification are eligible to apply. If a suitable candidate is not found, candidates with a first class Master’s degree in Biological Sciences (awarded) and experience in field ecology research as mentioned above may be considered.

Preference: Candidates with experience working on plant-animal interactions/plant ecology projects in the field

Fellowship amount : Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (JRF), Rs. 25,000/- (Project Assistant)

Age 30 years, with relaxation based on Govt of India norms.
