Junior Research Fellow  job vacancies in National Rice Research Institute (NRRI) on temporary basis

Name of the Scheme/Project  :  “Markerassisted introgression of yieldenhancing genes to increase yield potential in rice.” (EAP-223)

No. of Post  :  1

Qualification  :  1.P.G. in basic sciences (Biotechnology/Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology) with three years bachelor’s degree and NET qualification. Or, 2.P.G. in professional sciences (M.Tech. Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Life Science) with 3 years bachelors’ degree and 3 years master degree or 4 years bachelor’s degree and 2 years master degree. Or, 3.P.G. in Agriculture sciences (Biotechnology/ Genetics/Plant breeding/Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Plant Physiology/Plant Pathology/Plant Entomology) with four years of bachelor’s degree and two years master degree or three years bachelors degree with three year master degree. Or, 4. Ph.D. in Agril. Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Botany/Zoology/ Microbiology with experience in biotechnology.

Desirable :  Working Experience in Plant Molecular biology.

Remuneration :  Rs.25,000/- p.m. + 20% HRA for 1st and 2nd year, Rs.28,000/- p.m. + 20% HRA from 3rd year onwards.

Age Limit :  Maximum 35 Years for Men and 40 Years for Women

These research stations were established to tackle the problems of rainfed uplands, and flood prone rainfed lowlands, respectively.
