Essential
qualifications: i) Post-Graduate (M.Tech/ME) in Civil Engineering with
specialization in Geomatics Engineering/ Hydrology/ Environmental and Water
Resource Engineering. „OR‟ ii) M.Sc.
degree in Geoinformatics with NET/GATE Qualification
Desirable
Qualifications and Experience:
1 Fundamental
knowledge and research background in areas of soil science and degradation,
soil erosion, geospatial technology and good knowledge on the state of the art
of different methodological approaches and indicator systems like LADA- GLADA
and GLADIS; WO-CAT; DISforLADA; DISforME etc.
2 Field work
experience in various landscape and soil survey/assessment using instruments
like Total Station, GPS, TDR etc.
3 Working experience
in handling Remote sensing data and image processing/GIS software (ArcGIS,
ERDAS Imagine, QGIS, GRASS, R).
4 Candidate with a
good command over English language and sound scientific writing skills and
publications in good journals and conferences is preferred.
Age Limits : Not
more than 30 years as on the last date of application (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/WOMEN candidates
will get relaxation as per Govt. Of India Rules)
Fellowship : Rs 25,000/- per month (Fixed)
