Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) funded CRG project to be carried out in the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences of the Institute. The details follow.
1. Project Title: A Retinex Inspired Framework for Intensity Homogenization, Contrast Upgradation, and Restoration of Satellite and Aerial Images
2. Position (temporary and fulltime): Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 Nos.
3. Consolidated monthly Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (As per the SERB/Institute Rules)
4. Department: Mathematical and Computational Sciences (MACS)
5. Duration: 1 year, extendable based on the performance to a maximum of 3 years(or till completion of the project/funding). After the completion of 2 years, based on the performance assessment by the duly constituted committee, the JRF may be promoted to SRF (if the performance is found satisfactory) with a consolidated pay of Rs. 35000/- (subject to the availability of the funds)
6. Qualification: M.Tech./M.Sc./MCA in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ IT/ Mathematics/ Electronics with good academic performance and good programming skills. In addition, the candidates should have qualified UGC-NET/CSIR/GATE.
7. More information: Selected candidates are encouraged to apply for Ph.D. programme at NITK Surathkal, subject to the fulfillment of the academic and administrative requirements of the institute.
