Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the School of Electrical Sciences of this Institute

1. Name of the Temporary Assignment : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 Post

2. Name of the temporary research Project : “Achieving reliable communications in the Internet of things: an erasure-correction coding approach”

3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency : Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Dept. of Science and Technology (DST)

4. Consolidated Emolument : Rs. 31,000/‐ HRA @16% per month

5. Qualification : (a) B.Tech/B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with two years of experience with valid, or M.Tech in Communication Engineering or allied fields.

(b) The applicant should be able to demonstrate knowledge of wireless communications and networking and must have experience in the simulation and analysis of communication systems and networks. Experience with Arduino and Raspberry pi platforms is an added advantage.

6. Period of Engagement : Initially for 1 year with possible extension depending on performance

7. Duration of the project : Two Years
