Job Description
Applications are invited from the Indian citizens for filling up the following post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India
sponsored purely time bound project undertaken in the Department of Physics, the LNM Institute of Information
Technology, Jaipur.
Description of the project: The project involves the study of nano-mechanics of DNA and DNA-protein interactions through the concept of various theoretical models of polymer physics and molecular simulations.
No. of position: 01
Essential qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry or M. Tech. degree in relevant engineering branch or equivalent with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. Extensive prior knowledge of biology is not required but a passion for research in theoretical and computational biological physics is essential. A substantial computer programming background in any scientific language is essential and prior knowledge of molecular dynamics simulations will be an aid. NET/GATE qualified candidate will be preferred.
Age limit: Not more than 30 years as on the date of advertisement.
Salary: (a) *For postgraduate degree in above-mentioned subject with CSIR-NET or GATE qualification: Rs. 25,000 fixed per month + Admissible HRA. (b) For others: 16,000 fixed per month + Admissible HRA.
