Notification for appointment of Junior Research Fellow (SERB-DST Project) The Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, Navi Mumbai invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project on the “Development of Artificial Neural-Network based 3-dimensional Ionospheric Model (ANNIM)”, sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. The JRF will be involved in the analysis of scientific observations, modeling and interpretation of data.
Number of Posts: 1 (one)
Emoluments: Rs.31,000/- p.m. + 24% HRA (if no hostel accommodation is provided by the Institute)
Qualification: Essential: First class or equivalent GPA in M.Sc/M.Sc(Tech.)/M.Tech in Physics/Applied Physics/Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Mathematics with First Class in Bachelor’s Degree level or B.E/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science/Information technology/Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Qualification in CSIR/UGC NET (JRF or lecture ship) or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
Desirable: Programming skills in FORTRAN/MATLAB/PYTHON on Unix/Linux based platforms.
Maximum age: Not exceeding 25 years as on last date of receipt of application.
