Job Description
Name of Project Project A1: Community plant-pollinator interactions at the landscape level. Project A2: Ecology and Conservation of freshwater swamps
JRF / Project Assistant
Qualification: The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the qualifying degree preferably. Additional qualifications for JRF are: Post-graduate degree Biological Sciences with valid NET qualification, OR Graduate Degree in a Professional Course in Biological Sciences with NET qualification.
In case a suitable candidate with the above qualifications is not found, candidates with a Post-graduate degree in Biological Sciences may be appointed as Project Assistant if selected.
Field Assistant
Qualification: BSc in Biological Sciences with atleast 6 months research experience in conducting field-based ecological studies.
Preference: JRF / Project assistant- All applicants should have atleast 2 years of proven work experience conducting research on field-based ecological studies as evidenced from research publications.
Field assistant: Atleast 3 months experience in maintaining bee colonies / insect sampling / conducting vegetation ecology studies.

Field Assistant - Project A1 -1 post, Project A2 -1 post
Fellowship amount : JRF - 25,000 + HRA / Project Assistant - 16,000+ HRA
Field Assistant - Rs. 10,000/ month consolidated
Age: JRF / Project Assistant: 32 years with 3-5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically disabled as per government norms, Field Assistant: 35 years

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards.Established in 2008 by the Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), based on the recommendation of Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, IISER-TVM is an autonomous institution awarding five year integrated MS degree in addition to Ph.D degrees in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and inter-disciplinary areas. The emphasis will be to develop a spirit of research cutting across disciplines from the beginning itself. IISER-TVM is temporarily located in the Computer Science building of the College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET).
