JRF/SRF Agriculture recruitment in Indian Agricultural Research Institute.

Name of the Project & Principal Investigator (PI) : Marker assisted improvement of rice variety Pusa 44 for Phosphorus use efficiency (DBT)

Essential: Masters’ Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Breeding and Genetics (or) Master’s Degree in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ life sciences with four years Bachelor’s Degree (or) Master’s Degree in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Life sciences with NET qualification.

Desirable: Research experience in working on molecular marker technology as evidenced from published works, experience in rice crop and knowledge of computer applications and data analysis.

Pay Scale : Rs. 25000 + 10% HRA (JRF) (or) Rs 28000 + 10% HRA (SRF)*

* Senior Research Fellow is offered to candidates having more than two years of experience as JRF in projects under departments/ agencies like ICMR, ICAR, DAE, DST, DBT etc.

Age limit: JRF/SRF: Maximum age of 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC candidate) on the date of interview.
