Project Title Monitoring and Analysis of Non-Point Source (NPS) Pollutants in an Agricultural Watershed using Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT)
Applications are invited from the interested candidates for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Department of Science and Technology (DST) - Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Empowerment and Equity Opportunities for Excellence in Science Award (EEQ) Scheme, sponsored project bearing the sanction number EEQ/2019/000463 under taken in the Department of the Civil Engineering.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF).
Essential Qualifications a) GATE qualified master’s in Water Resource Engineering/ Remote Sensing & GIS/Environmental and Water Resources Engineering and b) First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on 10-point scale in B.E/B.Tech. in Civil Engineering. and c) First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on 10-point scale in M.E /M. Tech.
Desirable: Experience in applications of GIS based hydrological modelling in agricultural watersheds.
Desired Experience Strong orientation towards: Analytical and experimental studies during M.E/M. Tech. for estimation of Non-Point Source Pollutants in an agricultural watershed. Knowledge in development of GIS based hydrological models and experience with technical software/tools (ArcGIS, SWAT etc.).Good knowledge in any programming languages (MATLAB/R) for simulation studies. Good English writing skills and report writing.
