Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow

Consolidate Pay(Rs.): Rs. 31,000/-+ HRA (As per institute norms)
Project Title: Utilization of the Inferior Quality Aggregate in Hot, Warm and Cold Mix Asphalt
Project No. S/NHAI/BPS/20200089
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
i) Applicants having an M.Tech/M.E./M.S. (Eng.) degree should fulfil all the criteria given below:
a. M..Tech/M.E./M.S. (Eng.) in relevant area, with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
b. B. Tech in civil Engineering, with minimum of 65% in aggregate or or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale.
c. A candidate should have cleared GATE.
ii) Applicants having an B.Tech/B.E. degree (Direct PhD) should fulfil all the criteria given below: Tech in Civil Engineering, with minimum of 85% in aggregate or a minimum CGPA of 8.5 on a 10-point scale with a valid GATE score.
iii) Applicants having master’s degree in science should fulfil following criteria:
a. M.Sc with a minimum CGPA of 8.5 at a 10-point scale or 85% marks in aggregate with a valid GATE score/UGC/CSIRJRF/GPAT/NBHM or equivalent qualification in the relevant area tenable for the year of registration.
b. Exemption under schemes as agreed by the IIT council for students of NITs/IITs/IIESRs/IISc may be acceptable
Desired Qualification: Master’s thesis in Pavement Engineering
Brief description of Project: Major objective of the study includes development of a methodology to improve the quality of inferior aggregates and studying their performance in hot mix asphalt (HMA), warm mix asphalt (WMA) and cold mix asphalt (CMA).
Job Description: JRF will have to perform research work required to successfully complete the project.
