Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow
Title of project: Realizing Cell-free Massive MIMO for beyond 5G Systems
Project position(s) and number: Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 01 (one position)
Qualifications: Master's or Bachelor's degree in IF.CE/EE/CSE or equivalent with CGPA above 7.0 (on 10.0 scale) or percentage greater than 70% aggregate irrespective of category. The candidate must have qualified GATE or National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship. (Note: Bachelor's or master's from IITs, NITS, IIITs, and any other CFTIs with a CGPA 8.() and above on 10 scale point are exempted from the requirement of GATE/NET.)
Emoluments: 31000/- per month and HRA (as applicable).
Duration: 1 year, (can be extended up to project duration based on performance reviews).
Job description: The .JRF will be involved in the research and development activities related to cell-free massive MIMO systems for 5G/6G networks. It consists of developing baseband algorithms utilizing signal processing and deep learning techniques, and subsequently, prototyping them on an RFSoC board. It will also involve documenting and presenting the research outputs to various forums. The candidate is expected to have
a) Sound knowledge of Linear algebra, Probability theory, Random processes, and Wireless communication.
b) Strong programming skills in C/C+T/Python/MATLAB etc.
c) Experience in handling RFSoC/MPSoC/FPGA boards.
d) Experience in writing papers/patents/technical report etc.
