Qualifications
1. Project Scientist (Prof. Alikunhi chair) - Ph. D. in Fishery Science, Marine Biology, Ocean Sciences, Aquatic Health Management, Aquatic Biology and Fisheries, Zoology
Desirable : experience in fish/ prawn seed production)
2. Project Scientist (Bioactive project) - Ph. D. in Life Sciences/ Molecular biology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry and related fields (Desirable : experience in Marine neutraceutical research and chemical characterization; experience in Analytical Biochemistry/ Chemistry and in developing instrumentation methods and instruments
3. Research Fellows in projects under Schools of Fisheries Resource Management & Harvest Technology, School of Aquaculture and Biotechnology and School of Management & Entrepreneurship M F Sc all branches; M Sc Marine Biology/ Aquaculture/ Industrial Fisheries/ Biological Oceanography and Biodiversity/ Aquatic Biology and Fisheries, Zoology and related fields
4. Research Fellow in project – Aquaculture Genetics and biotechnology : M Sc Biotechnology/ Marine Biology/ M F Sc with specialization in genetics and breeding (experience in molecular biology techniques).
5. Research Fellow in Project on Rapid detection of different pathotypes of E. coli : M.Sc Microbiology/Biotechnology Molecular Biology/ M.F.Sc in Fish Processing Technology.
6. Research Fellow in project on Rapid detection of unethical / toxic preservatives in fresh / chilled fish : M Sc Chemistry/Biochemistry.
7. Technical Assistant : B F Sc/ P G degree in any branch of Fisheries science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Zoology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology and related fields
8. Technical Assistant - soil and water analysis laboratory : P G degree in Chemistry / Marine Chemistry
9. Technical Assistant – Automatic weather station : P G Degree in Meteorology
10. Technical Assistant (Data Entry Operator) : Degree in Computer Science (Experience in data entry operation/ certificate in data entry)
11. Field Assistant : +2 level of education preferably in the biology stream.
12. Research Fellow in EAP :- M.F.Sc or M.Sc in Marine Biology/ Zoology/ Aquaculture/Aquatic Biology and Fisheries or equivalent degree.
Remuneration
A. Project Scientist - Rs.20,000.00 –Rs.25,000.00 per month based on experience
B. Research Fellow - Rs.12,000.00
C. Technical Assistant - Rs.10,000.00
D. Field Assistant - Rs. 7,500.00
