Job Title: Japanese Translator

Experience: 2-5 years

Location: Bangalore, India

Job Responsibilities:

• Translate documents, reports, and technical materials from Japanese to English (and vice versa) with accuracy and efficiency.
• Interpret verbal conversations, meetings, and conferences between Japanese-speaking individuals and English-speaking colleagues.
• Collaborate with different departments (e.g., marketing, engineering, legal) to provide linguistic support and ensure effective communication.
• Proofread and edit translated materials to maintain language consistency and quality.
• Assist with cultural consulting, advising on cultural nuances, idioms, and context-specific translation.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information during translation and interpretation.
• Stay updated with industry-specific terminology and trends in translation techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in both Japanese and English (JLPT N2 or higher certification preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• 2-5 years of experience in translation/interpretation, preferably in a business or technical environment.
• Familiarity with translation tools and software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under deadlines.
• Cultural understanding of both Japanese and Indian work environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in industries such as IT, automotive, manufacturing, or healthcare.
• Prior experience working with Japanese clients or in multinational organizations.
